Functions


    • Every teacher is the mentor for a group of 20 to 25 students allocated by the HoD.
    • The teacher mentor collects personal information from the ward and then provides the needed counselling to the wards.
    • A documented record of the mentoring process is maintained by the mentor teacher and the HoD for reference purposes.
    • The mentor identifies weak students and will pay them special attention by taking remedial classes.
    • Mentors will play a major role in finding the slow learners. This may help the institution reduce the rate of dropouts from the very beginning. The major criteria for identifying slow learners are their performance in series tests, university results, and personal interaction with those
