Functions of the College Development Council (CDC):

  1. Development Planning:
    • Prepare long-term and short-term development plans for affiliated colleges.
    • Help colleges identify priority areas for development.
  2. Project Scrutiny and Recommendations:
    • Evaluate and recommend college proposals to AICTE, DST, ICSSR and other funding bodies.
    • Monitor the proper utilization of grants.
  3. Inspection and Monitoring:
    • Visit and inspect colleges to assess academic performance and development progress.
    • Provide guidance for improvement based on observations.
  4. Promotion of Research and Innovation:
    • Encourage faculty and students to undertake research projects.
    • Facilitate the setting up of research and innovation cells in colleges.
  5. Faculty Development:
    • Organize workshops, seminars, and training programs to enhance faculty competence.
